Alpinestars originated in the northern Italian town of Asolo in 1963. The company originally manufactured hiking and ski boots but then began to make safety gear for motor racing and motor cycling.
As the brand’s reputation grew Alpinestars added a fashion division which manufactures men’s and women’s clothing and which has design centres in Italy and California.
