Fenchurch was begun in 2000 by a group of keen skateboarders who wanted to design a range of clothes purely for themselves.
The name Fenchurch was chosen after the name of the area in London where the group used to skate. The founders got hold of an industrial sewing machine, learnt the basics of tailoring and by 2001 they were ready to launch their first range of clothing.
From their launch in a warehouse shack the brand is now distributed all over Europe.
